Wild Country
Please bare with us as we develop our soap Website! for now, all of our information will be here. For inquiries or purchase please contact us at: WildCountrySoap@outlook.com
Wild Country started as a soap made out of necessity...and then blossomed into an all out passion! Most of our ingredients are are home made, rendered, locally sourced, infused and wild picked from around our farm whenever possible.
When we began, we decided we really wanted to embrace the art of soaping and made the decision to use beef tallow as a main ingredient, which we painstakingly render in our very own kitchen. Tallow makes a beautiful hard, long lasting soap with low profile creamy suds and goes WAY back to the very start of soap!
We also use Coconut Oil sparingly in our soaps due to sensitivity experienced by many people (including myself)

Why do we use Fragrance oils?
We like to use both all natural Essential Oils as well as Paraben and phalate free Fragrance in our soaps! while some prefer the all natural EO, we have discovered we much prefer a stronger smelling soap that has a scent that lasts until the very last sliver of soap is used up! Most often, we will use a combination of the two to customise our smells.
Why Mica for color?
Most of our recipes actually use natural sources for colours through oil infusions and clays. But occasionally we like to spice things up a bit and add a pop of colour you wont normally be able to achieve naturally. While there is nothing wrong with micas, they don't generally "fit" and all natural title. We will always list it in the ingredients list if your looking to avoid the micas.
Do you make custom Orders?
We absolutely do! you are able to pick your scents, colors, designs (if applicable), as well as oil preferences! When doing a custom order, we do require you to purchase your entire loaf. We can make loaf sizes of 4 bars, 8 bars, and 17 bars. They will all be cut, wrapped and ready to go! ...you can even name it!
***discounted rates may apply and please note that curing time for Cold process is 4-8 weeks and Hot process is 1 week, so make sure you order yours with plenty of time before you need it!***
Why Canola Oil?
Being in Alberta means i see canola...A LOT of canola every summer! those bright yellow flowers as far as the eye can see always leads me home. So when it came time to pick oils we wanted to work with, Canola popped up first in our minds! not only is it readily available and fundamentally Canadian...it also contains Vitamin E ( an anti-oxidant that helps to protect your skin ) omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids which help to combat premature ageing and soothe dry, irritated skin and it produces a soap with creamy rich lather that doesnt feel greasy on the skin.
